Bread Making 101: Learning How to Make Homemade Bread/Dinner Rolls
The art of making bread at home does not have to be as mystifying as it seems. With the growing interest in eating healthier foods for the family, many novice and seasoned homemakers want to try their hand at bread making. This class will allow the participants to see firsthand each step of the process. Our presenter will answer all the questions about the ingredients, the process, and the techniques as they demonstrate making bread/dinner rolls at the kitchen.
Soup Making: Preparing Soup Basics
The presenters will teach another gratifying skill in the kitchen: the art of making soup. Beginning with learning how to make soup stock from scratch, the participants will watch how easy it is to make homemade stock (the base of many soup recipes), but will learn that in a pinch there are delicious and nutritious alternatives that can be store bought. The presenters will emphasize that, with the knowledge of how to make a basic stock, you prepare an endless variety of soups using whatever you have on hand.
Participants will have the chance to try the homemade bread/dinner rolls and the soup!
There will be refreshments and socials.
