MARY COBB
Mary Cobb is the wife of Peter Cobb and mother of ten children. She is a founding board member of a local private high school and one of the leaders of the Art of Living for Women in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Through Art of Living for Women, Mary helps teach women of all ages how to bring faith, beauty, and organization into their homes. She also volunteers as the leader of a local girl’s club, whose focus is to help young girls grow in virtue and friendship while learning fun, new skills. Mary is also a board member of Home Unlimited. An avid sewer, Mary understands that beauty lies in the details, and brings dedication and precision into all she does.
HEIDE KENNY
Heide Kenny is currently President Emeritus of Chambers Gasket, a family-owned manufacturing company in Chicago Illinois, a wife to her husband Gerard, mother of 5 grown children and grandmother to 8. She has spent 50 years balancing her life between her business career, managing a home and involvement in numerous not-for-profit educational and cultural activities. She brings to the board her managerial experience as well as life learned home skills and a keen awareness of the importance of home-work-life balance. Now as an “empty nester”, Heide brings time and enthusiasm to the vision of Home Unlimited understanding women’s vital role and capacity to provide for the basic needs of others.
KRISTIN KOCAN
Kristin Kocan resides in Warrenville, Illinois with her husband of 54 years. She is a founding member of Home Unlimited. Kristin and her husband raised 7 children and are grandparents of 35. Kristin had a 45+ year outside-the-home professional life in the field of engineering, working for Honeywell, Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, and AT&T. She holds 3 degrees relating to engineering, including a doctorate with a specialty in Systems Engineering.
Kristin has been involved with The Art of Living programs for teen and preteen girls for over eight years. She has more recently started with The Art of Living for Women, organizing several sessions with several more planned. Kristin has a keen interest in working with mothers of young children, who form the target audience for the Art of Living for Women sessions that she organizes. She has also started a philosophy discussion group for mothers with young children that is in its third year.
HEATHER LACHENAUER
Heather Lachenauer is an experienced litigator, appellate advocate and educator who has successfully represented international companies, federal agencies, financial institutions, businesses and individuals. She has advocated on behalf of clients in a variety of pro bono matters involving asylum, the death penalty, and religious liberty, among others. Ms. Lachenauer has taught political science, rhetoric, and poetics and aesthetics as an adjunct professor and is a former member of the Board of Regents of St. John Paul the Great Catholic University. She is the co-founder of Epiphany Prep Charter School, a school dedicated to providing quality education to children living in low-income communities in San Diego. Ms. Lachenauer received her B.A. in Government from the College of William and Mary in Virginia, a M.A. in Education at the George Washington University, and her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame. She currently serves as the Vice President for Board and Legal Services and General Counsel of the University of Dallas.
DEBBIE MASCARI
Debbie Mascari has been married for 49 years, raised six children, and is blessed with 18 grandchildren. She is a program coordinator for Petawa Cultural Center; runs various mothers groups for Petawa, and gives frequent talks on character development, family life, and marriage. Debbie serves on the board of Wynncliff Inc., a nonprofit that hosts retreats, leadership camps, and professional conferences and is currently working as Chef for Opus Dei retreats at Wyncliff.
PILAR RACCA
Pila studied Education in Argentina and Business Management, in the USA. She worked for 35 years as Executive Director of Hospitality Services at conference centers and residences for women and/or men in Massachusetts and New York. For 10 years she created, promoted and implemented educational programs for women in the East Coast.
She is currently living in Chicago, and works for the Corporation for Social and Educational Development (CSED) as a Project Manager. She leads several Midwest nonprofit foundations dedicated to the Christian development of women who wish to understand their feminine identity, the meaning and purpose of their lives of service to others through work, a deeper and professional understanding of the home and homemaking, and who strive to build a culture of strong and happy families.
Pila is passionate about creating homes and family environments where people can experience belonging, affection, and comprehensive care.
