Why Little Things Matter

Kensington, Maryland
The Kuzma Residence
Address will be sent to attendees.

The Art of Living for Women in Maryland will explore why the smallest things can have a large and lasting influence on our families and in our homes. Join us as we demonstrate how even the smallest decorative details can have a big impact on our homes.

Overview
Why Little things, often unremarkable in themselves, often convey something greater. Join us as we consider the ordinary details, the routine tasks and common-place conversations make up our everyday lives, and how we can transform them into impactful moments. See how a word of encouragement, a birthday card, all small things, can have a lasting impact on others.

Know Your Space: Start Small
See how you can transform your home by understanding the size and scale of your rooms. This hands on demonstration by an interior designer will show us the importance of knowing the size and appropriate layout of your rooms. How furniture choice and placement have a direct impact on the welcoming nature of your home. Learn how to choose the right paint color and select complimentary fabrics for your room. You will also be given suggestions of places to shop and websites to explore.

Decorative Details: Small Scale, Big Impact
Once your more prominent decorating decisions have been made, the smaller finishing touches are more of a challenge. The fireplace mantel, the end tables and coffee tables, the dining room table all offer opportunities to enhance a rooms appeal. Join us as our expert interior designer demonstrates how to make the most of small decorative details.

Our session on Why Little Things Matter hopes to instill the importance of doing little things well, and how this attention to detail can help transform our houses to bright and cheerful homes.

Lunch will be provided.
