Read, Set, Dinner: Week One

Chicago, Illinois
Metro Achievement Center

A three week Home Unlimited series for parents of Metro Achievement Center

Family meals are part of healthy family life and their benefits are huge and far reaching. Making dinner is work that is worth it! Given the often packed schedules of families today, planning dinners ahead of time is an essential skill. With meal planning in advance, pitfalls can be avoided such as frequent less-than-nutritious take-out meals and/or the stress of putting together a meal at the last minute when everyone in the family is tired and hungry.

Class One

Introduction: Family Dinner Matters! Why?

Class One: Taught by the Table. How to teach your children to set the table; what a set table teaches without words.

Class Two: Planning a Meal. Teams of four people will be given a handout to fill in, sharing favorite recipes of entrées (meats/poultry/fish/etc.) and making a weekly menu.

 This event is free.

Please register through Metro Achievement Center
